Market

The market lets players sell cosmetics they own to other players for your server currency. Open it with /cosmetics market or the View Market button in the cosmetics menu.

The market needs an economy. Set Settings.Economy to Vault, PlayerPoints or RivalCredits and install that plugin - without it, buying is disabled. Tune everything under config.yml → Market.

The market menu is paginated with the same filter (by cosmetic type) and sort controls as the cosmetics menu. Market sort options are Recent, Price Low to High, Price High to Low, and Alphabetical. Left-click a filter/sort button to cycle forward, right-click to go back.

  1. Open /cosmetics, click a cosmetic you own to open its equip menu.
  2. Click Sell.
  3. The menu closes and you’re asked to type a price in chat. Type a whole number, or cancel.

Listing a cosmetic puts it in escrow - it leaves your collection (and is unequipped) until it sells or you remove it. Rules enforced when you list:

  • The price must be within Min-Price and Max-Price.
  • You can’t exceed your Max-Listings limit (an admin can raise it per player with /cosmeticsadmin maxlistings <player> <amount>).
  • If Listing-Fee is set, it’s charged when the listing is created.

Click a listing. If Confirm-Purchase is on, a confirmation menu opens; confirm to buy. You pay the full price; the seller receives the price minus the Sale-Tax percentage. If two players try to buy the same listing at once, only one succeeds - the other is told it was just sold. You can’t buy a cosmetic you already own.

The My Listings button toggles the market to show only your own listings (and back to everyone’s with View All Listings). Click one of your listings to remove it - the cosmetic returns to your collection.

Click Search and type in chat:

  • a cosmetic name - matches any listing whose cosmetic name contains your text, or
  • an online player’s exact name - shows that player’s listings.

Type cancel to cancel. Player search only matches players who are online when you search; anything else is treated as a cosmetic-name search.

If Expiry-Days is greater than 0, listings expire after that many days and the cosmetic is returned to the seller automatically (checked about once a minute). Set it to 0 for listings that never expire.
